Resource Needs

Members can use this area to post if the have resources to trade/donate or need resources. Setting up trade agreements uses up diplomatic points. those diplomatic points could be used to recruit new members (because that takes up diplomacy points as well). For example, you could post some thing like:

Soupy has 20,000 marble to trade or donate.

Or, Soupy needs marble, anyone willing to trade or donate?

In regards to resources, what would you suggest is the best ratio for putting workers in the mines/forrest?
I need the wood, but dont want to not mine the good resources that I have on my islands. I was hoping at least with the wine to produce enough to start with to just cover the usage of my three towns together and build up my academy and population there for the gold and research.
I figured with the marble town to produce excess as it seems to be in demand, and same with the crystal - enough for me, and some to trade.
But it seems that the wood issue keeps popping up and have been trying to upgrade trading post to find some one who is actually selling wood!
I will have it at level 6 in 2 hours, but still need another upgrade to get another island into my field of view.
Is there any suggestions you could offer to help me be more efficient with my resources?

For me it just depends on what I am trying to build... I always leave some workers at the Saw mill for lumber (whether it be 10 or 500). There really is no magic ratio. Sorry, ut that is the best answer I have for you..

Anyone else out there got something different to add???

Hi Freddy
How far is your research and do you have any free building spots? You could build a Forrester's House, which would allow you to get 2% extra wood per level build, without having to have extra workers. Alternatively you could go for a Carpenter's workshop, saving you 1% per level on wood used for building.
Which one is the better option? That depends on what you want to achieve and the size of your warehouse/s.
